DLF The Valley Gardens

Not everyone wants to live in a big city tower, and The Valley Gardens is a good example of the alternative. It is a DLF development spread over about 34 acres (13 hectares) at Sector 3, Pinjore Kalka Urban Complex, Panchkula. The setting is low-rise and green, but it still has the structure of a planned township. The homes are independent-floor style 3 BHK + study and 4 BHK + study residences designed by architect Hafeez Contractor. It is registered under RERA in phases, with registration numbers HRERA-PKL-PKL-339-2022 and HRERA-969-2022. You can check each one on the state RERA portal before booking.

This is the foothills of the Shivalik range, and that is really the point of the place. The buildings line shaded, tree-lined avenues, with walking trails, jogging tracks and children's parks around them. It is quieter and greener than city living, yet Chandigarh is only about 13 km away. Pinjore Gardens is about 5 km off, and the hills of Timber Trail and Sanawar make for an easy day's outing.

Access to NH-5 is easy, and most daily needs sit within a short drive. Pinjore Gardens and Shemford Futuristic School are 5 km away. Paras Hospital, the General Hospital and Panchkula Golf Club are 8 km. At 10 km you have Command Hospital, Alchemist Hospital, Doon International and Solitaire International School, and at 12 km DPSS Panchkula, Panchkula Bus Stand, DLF IT Park and Nada Sahib. Chandigarh Railway Station is 15 km, Punjab University and PGI are 22 km, Lawrence School, Sanawar is 29 km, and Chandigarh Airport is 31 km.

The whole 34-acre development is planned around nature, and every home has a study. The modular kitchen comes fully fitted with a hob, chimney, refrigerator, microwave, oven, washing machine and dishwasher, and there are air conditioners in the living, dining and bedrooms. Each home also gets dedicated stilt parking and a basement for staff accommodation and storage, with security cameras in the stilt and lobby.

Within the community you have walking trails, jogging tracks, children's parks, a kids' play area, an amphitheatre and a water body. Many of the bigger facilities sit in The Valley Club, a separate 30,000 sq.ft club near the project with a swimming pool, gym, tennis and squash, billiards, table tennis, a library, card room, banquet room, coffee shop and bakery, and a restaurant and bar. One important detail here is that the club is not part of the project offering. Membership, the security deposit and user charges are paid directly to the club, so budget for them separately.

The Valley Gardens works best for a Tricity family, or someone planning to settle in or around Chandigarh, who wants space, greenery and a DLF township rather than a city apartment. For NRIs from Punjab, Haryana or Himachal, it can also be a comfortable base for parents. The fitted kitchen and air conditioners mean less work setting up the home from abroad.
